At the 1988 Winter Olympics, figure skater, Debi Thomas became the first African American to ever win a medal at the event. That was 30 years ago and things have changed for her.
A few years ago she made an appearance on Iyanla Fix My Life, revealing how her life fell apart after reaching Olympian fame. As you probably know, Iyanla went all in making sure she talked about everything from her alcoholism to her living in a trailer infested with bed bugs. She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2012, and currently transiting Neptune is still within conjunction range of her natal Mercury…Neptune rules mental illness and Mercury rules the mind. That transit has been going on for the last 3 or 4 years. Last year transiting Saturn was square that point in her chart and this year Jupiter was trine it. Even though we think of Jupiter as a “good” planet and a trine to that point is a good aspect, it really brought things to the surface publicly for her. I haven’t heard how she’s doing lately, but transiting Uranus will slowly be passing over her North Node-Venus conjunction freeing her up from this down side of her life. She had to file bankruptcy and even jad to sell the medals she won. To go from a world class ice skater to the life we she revealed to us definitely has to do with a Karmic lesson she had to learn. Whenever the Nodes are involved in transits, it’s past life energy. The Uranus going over her Venus-North Node won’t be completed until 2023. I wrote notes on this years ago and forgot to post. Keep pushing Debi! Debi will be 51 on the 25th of this month. Happy Birthday!!
