Whitney Houston: Another Year Without The Queen

Whitney Houston born  AUGUST 9, 1963

Whitney was born with her Sun conjunct Venus in Leo in the 6th House. She was born to be a star and to entertain. She was a Pisces Rising which added to her star quality, and oddly enough was responsible for her downfall. Fame for her came fast and sudden, she would have been happier singing in the church choir somewhere in middle Georgia. The dark side of Pisces is escapism through drinking and drugs. Neptune rules Pisces, and Neptune is a driving force in her chart as it is with many big movie stars.

Along with ruling movies and music…it rule’s addiction. Whitney was born with Uranus, Mercury and Pluto in Virgo on the cusp of her 7th House (House of Relationships), this indicates that she was drawn to unpredictable partners or bad boys. She was also born with a Grand Trine in Fire, her Moon conjunct Jupiter in Aries, trine the Sun conjunct Venus in Leo, trine her midheaven in Sagittarius (Floyd Mayweather has a Grand Trine in Fire, and Oprah Winfrey has a Grand Trine in Air). Those born with Grand Trines have God given gifts and a lot of charisma. (doesn’t mean if you do not have a Grand Trine you won’t be successful, means it comes a bit easier for those who do, and can be a detriment to some because they become lazy)Whitney ‘ s Neptune is in Scorpio in the 8th House, this is a placement that appears in the chart of many big stars because of the cosmic glamour and mystique. Many of these stars have a deep loneliness within and try to escape the ordinariness of real life through drugs and drinking. Bobby Brown was blamed for dragging Whitney down the drug route..not so. Her marriage coincided with a low point in her life, so with or without Bobby she was headed for some difficult times. At the exact time of her marriage transiting Saturn had brought her huge success going through the top of her natal chart from 1987 through 1994 she was at her peak. Saturn started it’s descent toward the bottom of her chart toward her Ascendant which is Pisces ruled by Neptune. Saturn is about structure and restrictions, so it challenges our foundation that we build in prior years and if the foundation is weak there could be hard times. Uranus came through her 12th House then her First House freeing her from the marriage in about 2006. She appeared to be getting her life back on track. When she died, transiting Pluto exactly squared her Mars. Saturn was also making an opposition to her Mars, indicating great despair. Neptune moved into Pisces a few days before she died. Interestingly and oddly enough, when Neptune switched signs Liz Taylor, Jane Russell, Vivien Leigh, Judy Garland, Grace Kelly, Princess Diana, and Ginger Rogers, all women who had Neptune as a driving force in their life, passed.
